Your 2025 NFL MVP is...

Matt Stafford!

At age 37 -- and in his 17th NFL season -- Stafford led the NFL in passing yards (4,707), touchdowns (46) and touchdown-interception radio (5.8). He threw for 313 more passing yards and 15 more touchdowns than New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who was the runner-up. Stafford's 2025 season was the eighth time in NFL history that a quarterback threw for at least 4,500 yards and 45 touchdowns in a season, according to ESPN Research. Six of the previous seven quarterbacks to do so won MVP. The only one who didn't was Drew Brees in 2011 as Aaron Rodgers also reached those thresholds that season. Stafford's touchdown-interception ratio was so low in part because he went eight games without throwing an interception in the middle of the season. During that stretch, Stafford threw 28 straight touchdowns without an interception. According to Elias, that is the longest streak by any player since play-by-play was first tracked in 1978.-- Sarah Barshop

Other than land, what's the oldest physical object that you own?

I have an 1893 Indian Head penny. It's apparently worth around $2. That's quite the appreciation, but it's not setting me up for retirement!

Chicago White Sox hail dawn of a new bidet!

Jomboy Media
@JomboyMedia

White Sox are adding bidets in their clubhouse as requested by Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami

"One thing he did notice is we didn’t have a bidet in our locker room. That’s new to him. It was like, ‘Ok, that’s new. We can do that.’” -GM Chris Getz

The reviews for 'Melania' are still coming in. This one is particularly damning

I do apologize for my warped sense of humor, everybody. Hope you have a terrific Sunday!

Bill Belichick will not be a first-ballot Hall of Famer!

Bill Belichick, the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach, is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

In voting earlier this month, Belichick fell short of the 40 out of 50 votes needed for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame during his first year of eligibility, four sources with firsthand knowledge of the outcome told ESPN. Belichick received a call from a Hall representative last Friday afternoon with the news that he won't be inducted into the Hall in Canton, Ohio, this summer.

Several sources who spoke with the coach over the weekend described Belichick as "puzzled" and "disappointed" by his inability to secure support from at least 80% of Hall committee members.

"Six Super Bowls isn't enough?" Belichick asked an associate, referring to the championships he won as head coach of the New England Patriots. He won two more as defensive coordinator of the New York Giants. To another associate, he said, "What does a guy have to do?"

It is at our doorstep (warning: chilling images)

We MUST act. Reinforce anti-fascist culture, keep the mass movements coming and file legal action as necessary. We cannot stand to have good people being executed to serve a crazed authoritarian.

Report: Steelers hiring Mike McCarthy as next head coach!

There are a lot of critical viewpoints on the internet over this rumor. Not sure what the owners were thinking, but they could have done much better...

Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is joining another historic NFL team.

The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to hire McCarthy as their next head coach, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported on Saturday, per sources. The team later announced they've verbally agreed to terms with McCarthy.

McCarthy, 62, takes over the helm in Pittsburgh after Mike Tomlin stepped down after 19 seasons with the organization on Jan. 13.

McCarthy, who spent this past season away from the sidelines, becomes the 17th head coach in Steelers history and the fourth since 1969. The Steelers previously had Chuck Noll (1969-1991), Bill Cowher (1992-2006) and Tomlin (2007-2025) coaching consistency that provided the organization with stability for the last couple of decades. The Steelers hope McCarthy, who grew up in Pittsburgh, can do the same.
